Technicians can be assigned work orders by a scheduler.These work orders are comprised of one to may work items. Some Work Items are supported in MetaField (Soil Nuclear Gauge Testing, Concrete Cast Cylinders, Activities, etc.). MetaField also allows your organization to add Work Items that are not currently supported in the application. Once a Scheduler assigns you a Work Order, you will see it at the top of the screen under "New Assignments". Once you accept the Work Order, it will display under My Work Items.
My Assignments: New Assignments
- When you open My Assignments from the main Field menu, if you have any Work Orders submitted to you they will appear in the New Assignments portion at the top of your screen.
- Selecting the + icon will expand Work Order so you can view more details as well as allow you to Accept or Decline the Work Order.
- If you choose to Decline the Work Order, you may optionally add comments back to the scheduler.
- If you choose to Accept the Work Order, the work order will move to the My Work Items portion of your screen.
My Assignments: My Work Items
- Once you have accepted a Work Order, it will display under My Work Items.
- Selecting the + icon will expand the Work Order so you can see view more details.
- If a Work Item is contained in a dark blue bar, you can select the item and choose Perform Work.
Doing this will bring you to associated section of MetaField Field. - If you Work Item is contained in a light blue bar, this field work is not currently supported by the application and you must document your work outside of MetaField.
- When you are done will all of the Work Items, you should mark the item as finished by selecting the Complete button.
- If you need to Decline a Work Order after it has been accepted, you can do this by choosing the Decline button.\
