Creating Offline Activity Records
When there is no connection, Activity will load in Offline mode.
If you have downloaded or opened any forms they will be loaded for usage in Offline.
The Page will contain the basic tool to use activity forms, such as: list with groups and forms, Offline records page, and Project information.
To fill a Form you need to choose a Group first and then the desired Form. Fill the Form as you would while in Online.
After saving the record will be stored in your browser’s storage. You will be navigated to a page that confirms the saving:
Back button will navigate back to the page with Groups and Forms.
Related Forms
In case your Form has a Related Form Setting, after saving in Offline you’ll get a link to the Related Form. You need to cache the related form upfront.
If the related form is missing from the local cache, you’ll get a message in after saving the original form:
Browse Offline Records
To browse local form records use the “Offline Records” in the main activity page. It navigate to the page with all locally saved forms.
When there are records saved locally, on top of the activity screen will have a warning with the count of the Offline records. Tapping on the warning will navigate to the Offline Records page.
Offline records page is available both in Online and Offline mode. The page contains all forms saved in the browser’s store. Sorted in alphabetical order, from oldest to newest record.
You can use the search field to quick filtering by form name.
Tapping on any record will bring a dialog with available action for the selected form record.
You can use Edit option to make changes to the locally saved form, or to upload the form record to the server. Editing and saving a local form is just the same as normal filling.
Upload option will be available only when there is connection to the server.
To dismiss the popup tab anywhere outside it.
Uploading form records
You can use the Upload action once you get online.
This will upload the form record to the server, and assign an activity number to it.
Note: The Activity record will be uploaded to the Project, for which it was initially created, no matter which Project is currently selected.
Alternative way of saving Form records to the server is by editing a local form in Online Mode.
When you choose edit for an Offline record, after saving it will be uploaded and you’ll be navigated to the normal saved summary page:
Project selection
Project selection in Offline mode is available from Activity. Tapping ot search button will bring you to the search project page
List of all cached projects will be listed. Select the desired project by tapping, after that you’ll be navigated to the main Activity page. You’re ready to create Forms for the newly selected Project.
