Test Types

  • Allows you to select the Type of Test you will be performing:
  • Test Types:
      • Bituminous Nuclear Gauge
      • Moisture Content
      • Sand Cone
      • Soil Nuclear Gauge
  • This is a required field

Technician

  • Person who is performing the Test
  • Defaults to logged in user
  • This is a required field

Date Tested

  • Date test was performed
  • You may type in a date or select from a calendar
  • Defaults to current date
  • This is a required field.

Location

  • A predetermined drop-down list of locations
  • This list is controlled by you MetaField Business Administrator
  • This is a required field

Location Details

  • Allows you to enter more information about your test location
  • 500 character limit
  • This is a required field.

Elevation and Elevation Reference

  • Enter the elevation for your test and any associated reference

Get Location

  • Selecting this button will automatically populate the Longitude and Latitude fields.  
  • Longitude and Latitude fields can also be edited manually.
Latitude
  • Latitude (in degrees) where the activity is happening.
Info

Up to 8 decimal places are allowed in the latitude value.

Longitude

  • Longitude (in degrees) where the activity is happening

Project Location ID

  • Client defined field to identify granular site locations based on business process.
  • This information displays in QC only, not on reports.

  

Entering a Starting Analysis Number

The first time you perform a density test for a project, a Enter Starting Analysis Number field is presented.  If you enter a number in this field, your test sequence will start with that number.  

Tip

As each Test Type has its own numbering sequence, you may provide a starting number for each Test Type.

Notes & WBS

A field technician can enter internal notes regarding the test along with indicating the WBS (Work Breakdown Structure) the work relates to on a project.

After you save a Density Test you will be presented the option to create a new test by copying information to a new test.  By selecting Copy Last Test, certain fields will prepopulate a new test for you.
