titleEditing User Roles

This page's function is for editing roles for previously configured users.
It does not allow you to add new users to MetaField™.  That is only done in the Roles tab.

MetaField user data (account information). In addition, it allows for the assignment and removal of security roles.

Tip

The Technician, Project Manager and AgilePort User metadata can be maintained directly in the User grid without having to open / edit User records individually.

Special Note for Customers with Adapters:

If you have an adapter reading data in from your source system, once a user record has a MetaField password all data for that user record now must be managed in MetaField. So for example, if you make the user inactive in your source system this will NOT inactivate the user in MetaField.

Project Access

Project access for users can be limited to only projects an administrator gives them explicit rights to. To limit a users access to projects, mark the "Is Restricted to Projects Below" checkbox true. Add the project numbers for projects the user will need access to in the "Project Number" field. Select Add. Repeat this step for all projects the user will need access to. To remove a users access to a project, select the x icon to the right of the project in the grid. Users added to confidential projects in Project Administration will have those confidential projects displayed in this grid. If there is no check mark in the "Is Restricted To Projects Below" check box, users will have access to those confidential projects plus all other non-confidential projects.
