Administration

Specifications

  • Soil Density Specifications - Added the ability to select multiple soil classifications when adding a new specification (i.e. eliminates the need to repeat the data entry process for each individual soil classification)
  • Soil Density Specifications - Added batch delete capabilities
  • Soil Density Specifications - Added a Location filter control for the grid
  • Soil Density Specifications - Added a Soil Classification filter control for the grid
  • C/G/M Specimen Specifications - Identical specification records can be added using a Number of Specimens setting (i.e. add three 28 day specifications at one time if they all share the same properties)
  • C/G/M Specimen Specifications - Added the ability to copy from the global specifications in Administration to use as a starting point - user selects the Sample Type and Specimen Size before copying the data

ProjectData API

  • API error handling has been enhanced to process validated records included in request are processed and updated in MetaField, even in the event of an error that is caused by an invalid record.

Scheduling

  • Added a filter see which work orders contain work items that are missing required linked forms (i.e. what work items were scheduled that don't have the resulting MetaField form complete yet)
  • Added the ability to indicate if a linked form is required for a given work item - this setting will default based on the configuration of the Work Item in the Administration module, but can be overridden on the Work Order record in Scheduling

Field

  • C/G/M - Specimen size and specimen records copied when Copy Last Sample is used
  • C/G/M - Specimen Size will default based on the specifications defined for the project
  • DIY Forms - Added the ability to control the scaling of the X and Y axis on a chart
  • Sample Forms - Added permission setting (in Administration) to control if a user can see / edit the Lab Instructions section of a form
  • My Assignments - Work items requiring a linked form relationship will record that relationship when the Open Form button is used to open the form associated with a given work item

Quality Control

  • All Areas - Added the ability to see the originating / linked work order in Scheduling
  • All Areas - Added the ability to link a form to the originating work order in Scheduling
  • Density - Added the ability to manually mark a test as NOT requiring a retest (if the default business rules called for a retest)

DIY Form / Report Designer

  • Pick list and multiple choice fields with very long values (more than one line displayed on a report) will wrap so the text remains aligned and does not wrap under the check box control (if displayed that way) on the report

Project Administration

  • Work Item Configuration - Cost details defined at a project specification level can be reflected on DIY Activity forms in field module.

Field

  • DIY Activity - New support of field cost sections.

  • DIY Activity - Cost types defined on work item definitions can now be displayed on DIY forms in field module.

  • DIY Activity - Project specific field costs can be defined and reflected on DIY forms.

Reports

  • Batch reporting enhanced to allow changes to the report label, report notes and description for each individual report during the report review process

API

  • NEW BillingCost endpoint added to ProjectData API which will support the retrieval of costs capture on discrete and DIY forms in the field module (including Activity, C/G/M and Density Test).

  • ProjectData API updated to support the omission of optional fields for Projects, Employees, Clients and Contacts updates.

Accreditation Module

Background work has begun on a mechanism to help manage the various aspects of a firm’s accreditation programs. This will include a dedicated (DIY) forms module for the creation and maintenance of competency exams along with other accreditation program-related data tracking used for compliance and audit needs. In addition project document file repositories will also be available for storage of accreditation-based documentation, standards, procedures, etc. This development has started, but will not be visible to the user base in the 2002.2 release. More details on this exciting development will be shared later.
