Purpose
The Digital Signature module in Administration is used to define digital signature configurations that can be applied to one or many reports. Configurations can be defined once and used on multiple reports so the same configuration setting does not need to be defined on individual reports.

Click the Add Digital Signature button. Give the overall definition a name that is meaningful to you and select the type of digital signature that applies to this definition.

| Signature Type | - Type of digital signature that will be applied

| None | - Digital signature is not allowed
| | Digital With No Graphic | - Report can be digitally signed, but no graphic will appear
| | Digital With Seal Graphic | - Report can be digitally signed and the user will need to select from a stored graphic (i.e. engineering seal)
| | Digital With Signature Block | - Report can be digitally signed and the user's signature (signed name) graphic will be used
| | Signature Block | - Report will not be digitally signed and a blank signature block graphic will appear on the report for a pen-based signature

| Require Digital Signature on Finalize | - If Yes, Reports cannot be finalized without a signature
- This setting is only available if the user chooses something besides None and Signature Block from the Signature Type drop down

| Field Report Signature Note | - If you choose a Digital Signature Type in which a Graphic or Signature Block displays on the report, and the report is signed in in the Field module, the values entered here will appear below the signature.
- Signature Notes should define the intent of the signature (example: Signed by John Doe on Jan 01, 2015).
- Several dynamic placeholder values are available to you. Choose the i icon on the screen to see a tool type for how these should be structured.

| Final Report Signature Note | - If you choose a Digital Signature type in which a Graphic or Signature Block displays on the report and the report is signed in the QC module or Delivery, the values entered here will appear below the signature.
- Signature Notes should define the intent of the signature (example: Signed by John Doe on Jan 01, 2015).

| LIMS Report Signature Note | - If you choose a Digital Signature type in which a Graphic or Signature Block displays on the report and the report is signed in the LIMS module or Delivery, the values entered here will appear below the signature.
