- MetaField requires that a gauge be standardized each day per ASTM requirements. MetaField enforces this by only allowing gauges standardized that day (calendar day, not rolling 24 hour period) to be used for field density tests.
- The standardization date must match the test date in order for the gauge to appear as an option to select.

If your administrator has configured your gauge to enter the Moisture % value from the gauge, the Moisture % field will be presented to the technician instead of the Water Content (pcf) field. Likewise, if your Nuclear Gauge equipment record is configured to to enter the Dry Density (pcf) instead of the Wet Density (pcf), the inputs on the test results screen will change accordingly. |
- Select the Oven Burn Moisture Determination check box to perform a Moisture Content test.
- Select the Oversize Rock Correction check box to apply a correction factor to the Max Dry Density (pcf) and Optimum Moisture (%). The system will automatically mark this true if a proctor has been selected where the Lab has indicated that Field rock corrections are needed. This can be overridden if a rock correction is not needed.
