Purpose

In Administration under AgilePort there is a screen called "Settings" which allows you to configure your client portal. There are a variety of settings in this area broken out into three tabs: General Settings, Introductory Email Notifications and New Report Notifications.

General Settings - General

...

In this area you can configure:

  • Site Message - This is the message that appears to clients when they log into the portal and appears on the top of each page.
  • Logo - This is the logo for your portal. It may be your company logo or it may be a unique logo with the name of your portal.
  • Help Documentation - Your clients should have help available to them in the portal, but it should be specific to your site. You can create a PDF to upload here which includes specific information about who to contact with questions, your branding, etc.
  • Report Status change when made Public - When a report is made public in AgilePort, some customers choose to have the report set to delivered and some customers prefer to do this in a seperate workflowa separate workflow. This setting is controlled here.

...

In this area you can define the text of the email that a user gets when they are first added to AgilePort (Welcome Email) and when they are added to a new project (New Project Email). For both emails you can user placeholders similar to other places in MetaField. A key to the placeholders can be found by hovering over theicon next to the label.

Note

Make sure you type the placeholders exactly as they show up in the key (with double brackets).

titleSubject Line and Text Message

In order for your AgilePort users to receive email messages from the site, these fields must be populated. If left blank messages may not be sent.

New Report Notifications

New Report Notifications - General

In this area you can configure various things about how users are notified about new reports being added to AgilePort. The first decision to make is if you want individual users to be able to setup their own alerts (User Defined) or if you want to universally control globally how alerts are sent (Global). This setting is controlled with the New Report Notifications drop down:

If you choose the Global option you will also have the option to determine if global alerts should be are sent immediately, daily, and/or weekly.

New Report Notifications - Immediate / Daily / Weekly Notification Emails

Regardless of whether you control your alerts globally or allow individual users to configure their own alerts, you need to define the text for the emails. There is a box for the immediate, daily and weekly email text. As with the welcome emails, there are placeholders available if you click theicon next to the label.

Columns & Filters

The Columns & Filters settings control what filters are visible to your client users along with which columns of report data are visible.
