Purpose

Passwords can be reset by users if they are forgotten.  In addition, users can update their own user profile from the main MetaField menu screen.

Click the Forgot Password button at the bottom of the main login screen.Image Removed

Enter your MetaField username and the email address MetaField uses.  Click the Reset Password button to reset your password.  A message will appear indicating an email has been sent to you with instructions for how to reset your password.

Username is NOT case sensitive.

Completing a Password Reset

You will receive an email with a link to reset your password.  The link in this email expires in 48 hours, so it is important to change your password soon after you initiate the process.  After you click on the link in the email you receive, the following screen will appear.  Simply supply a new password, confirm it and click Reset Password.

Update User Profile

Users can update their user profile from the main MetaField menu screen.  Simply click your name in the upper right hand corner of the screen.  Your user profile will display.  To update your profile, click the Edit Profile button.  If necessary, you can update your password directly by using the Change Password button.

Tip

You would use the Change Password option on this screen if you are logged into MetaField and want to change your password. The process outlined above is for situations where you are not logged into MetaField and you have forgotten your password. You will need to provide your current MetaField password before you can change your password.
