The Specimen Settings tab is used to store information about default test age age, field cure and hold values for each sample type / specimen size.

Specimen Settings

Field	Description
Sample Type	Sample type of the specimen.
Specimen Size	Specimen size of the specimen.
Default Test Age	Test age of the specimen.
Default Field Cure	Indicates if the specimen should be cured in the field.
Default Hold	Indicates if the specimen should be held in the lab.

For example, if you needed to define a default set of cylinders that you typically pour to be broken at 7, 14 and 28 days with one of the cylinders held in the lab as a backup, your Specimen Settings grid would contain the following data...

Defaults can be changed / overridden in the Field module.
Settings can be defined for a specific project in Project Specifications. Project Specification settings trump Admin settings.
