Labs

You define your laboratory testing locations in Labs.  This list will populate Field Check-in and Lab screens.  At least one lab must be defined in MetaField.

NameDescription
Name
  • Enter the name of the laboratory
  • This is a required field
Address, City, State, Zip
  • Enter the location of this laboratory
  • These fields are optional
Include in Reports

Capping Method

When data from concrete specimen testing is entered in the Lab component, Lab users will specify a code representing the type of capping method used.

The values in the Capping Method drop-down list are defined on the Capping Method sub tab.

A Description and Standard for each Capping Method code can be entered.  Both will display in a legend when a concrete report is created.

Remarks

When concrete testing data is entered into Lab, users must select a Break Remark code for each specimen.  The code and associated description will be displayed on concrete reports.

The values for Break Remarks available in Lab are maintained on the Break Remarks sub tab in Administration / Labs.

FieldDescription
Sample Type
  • A break remark can only be assigned to a single sample type
  • If the same remark applies to multiple samples, the remark will need to be added multiple times
Code
  • Define a two character code for each remark type
  • This code will display in Lab, in Quality Control and on the report
Description
  • Enter the text associated with the remark

Example Remark Code and Description

Code: D2

Description: The 28 day test result meets or exceeds the 28 day specified strength.

You can also generate a list of Active remark codes and descriptions by selecting Print Active Remarks.
