Default Text / Placeholder Variables

Text Areas fields can store a default block of text that will display when entering an Activity record.  This default text is often helpful in helping to maintain some overall language consistency when performing activities.

Default text can also contain a placeholder variable.  When entering an activity from Field or Quality Control, placeholder variables are presented to the user as a value that needs to be replaced.  Text with double crooked brackets around it will be treated as a placeholder variable (i.e., placing text between {{ }} will result is a placeholder variable).

Reorder Multiple Choice and Picklist Options

Multiple Choice or Picklist field options will display to users during data entry in alphabetical order by default. You can choose to display the options in a different order by selecting Use Custom Option Order. Then click Reorder Options, and a popup will appear allowing you to click and drag your options into your desired order. This function will only appear when you have entered two or more options on a field.
