About LIMS Bituminous Results

Bituminous Field Densities Tests can be calculated based on a value supplied by separate party (Contractor, Supplier, etc.) as well as a value determined by your Lab.  Lab bituminous density values will need to be entered in LIMS similar to the process of entering Proctor values.

Entering LIMS Bituminous Result Information

Select LIMS from the MetaField home page and then choose Bituminous Results.

There are 2 options for entering the bituminous result information:

Menu OptionsDescription

Add Bituminous Density

  • Use when entering Bituminous Density lab result quickly – without searching for a project first.

View Bituminous Density

  • Use when you want to add several bituminous results to a single project or want to view/edit bituminous results already added.
  • You will need to first search for the desired project or one from the Recent Projects list. Select the View Density Results link next to the project and then Add Density Results for this Project.

Project Status and Bituminous Results

The system only allows Bituminous Results to be added to Active projects. If you are unable to add a Bituminous Result, make sure the project is Active in your source system.

Editing and Deleting Bituminous Result Restrictions

You are not allowed to edit or delete a Bituminous Result that is associated with a Bituminous Nuclear Gauge Density Test in MetaField.
If you need to edit or delete a bituminous result that has already been used by a Bituminous Nuclear Gauge Density Test, you will need to go into each test and associate it with a new Lab value.  Once this has been completed you can make your revisions to the Bituminous Result.
