Access to AgilePort can be granted through MetaField Project Specifications by going to the Distribution section.

From this screen you can view who has been granted access to you project as well as which report types they will be able to see.

How to Grant Access to a Project

To add someone to the list of people who have access to your AgilePort site for a project, you will need to go to MetaField Project Administration > Specifications and select the Distribution menu item. Then choose the Add Recipient button.

As you start entering an email address the system will look to see if there is already a matching email address set up either as a Project Collaborator or an AgilePort user.

If you find a matching email address you can select it and the corresponding fields will be poulated for you. If the system cannot find a matching email address in either of these areas, you can create a new user by completing the email address and entering all other pertinent information. Prior to saving you will want to turn on the AgilePort Access by switching this control to Yes. You may optionally turn on email alerts if you would also like them to get an email link, but remember they can also get email notifications directly from your AgilePort site so this may not be necessary. Once you have turned on access to AgilePort, a list of available Report Types will be displayed. From here you can select the appropriate report types that the person should be receiving. By default the system will assume that your Report Recipient should receive all Report Types.

Upon saving your new AgilePort user, the system will either send a site welcome message so this user can set up a password for your AgilePort site, or if the person already has a password they will receive an email notice that they have been granted access to this particular project.

Removing Access for a Project

To remove AgilePort access for a user who you must either delete the recipient from the project OR you can turn off AgilePort Access as long as Email Access is turned on. In order to save a Report Recipient either Email Access or AgilePort Access needs to be enabled. These functions are controlled by going to Project Specifications in MetaField and choosing the Distribution section.
