Table of Contents

Purpose

The Test Administration area allows you to move Soil Density tests to other projects or delete them. This screen is very wide due to the amount of data shown in the table (similar to the Soil QC table).  Depending on your computer’s screen resolution, some scrolling may be necessary to see everything.

This area should only be used in the rare circumstance that an incorrect test cannot be resolved by users using the controls available in Field and Quality Control.

Common problems addressed are:

  • Field user enters a Soil Density test on the wrong project.
  • Field user enters an invalid Soil Density test that the project manager wishes to delete.

Test Administration Informational Messages

You will also be prompted if one of the following conditions exist:

  • A report has been created for one of the tests being moved or deleted.
  • If tests of different Test Types (e.g., Sand Cone and Soil Nuclear Gauge) are selected.
  • A selected test has is related to other tests.
Once a test is deleted or moved, these relationships will be removed.

When using Test Administration, it is important that you keep the following things in mind:

  • Tests and associated re-tests must always be moved or deleted together.
  • Moving or deleting tests re-numbers the remaining tests on the project.
  • Moving a test to another project will remove the Proctor.  The Proctor must be re-selected from the new project and the test re-run.
  • The entire project number must be entered when using this function

Viewing Reported On Details

  • To the right of the Comments column in the Test Administration grid, is a column representing a Reported On Details feature.

  • Feature displays Report Title, Type, Label, Description, Date, and an option to preview the report.

Viewing Related Tests

If a test record has a related test association, an icon will appear in the far right column. If you select this icon, you can view information about the related test.
