From the OSHA website

Safety cultures consist of shared beliefs, practices, and attitudes that exist at an establishment. Culture is the atmosphere created by those beliefs, attitudes, etc., which shape our behavior.

From Safety and Your Geoprofessional Practice published by the Geoprofessional Business Association

“For many major clients, safety performance is a key criterion when it comes to the procurement of professional services, directly or by subcontract. They are committed to avoiding on their property work-related injuries or illnesses caused by any outside entity that fails to follow established safety regulations or best industry practices.” Many of these major clients “use comprehensive prequalification questionnaires that inquire about a firm’s safety program and request electronic copies of documents that support the answers,”

It is clear that implementing a safety culture in your organization is not only critical for the health and well-being of your employees, but can also impact your ability to get and keep work from your clients. Since safety is so critical, MetaField makes it easy for you to emphasize safety in your organization using a tool you already have.
