Purpose

The View Specimens screen allows you to access an individual specimen so the status can be changed back to a previous state. This is commonly used when a specimen is incorrectly checked into a lab.

View Specimens

To access the View Specimens  screen, you will need to first select the Concrete field module and then choose the appropriate project.

This area of Concrete Field give you access to all specimens that have the following status:

You will have access to specimens in the Picked Up, Checked In or Uncollected status.

View Specimens Filters

You can filter what specimens are displayed by selecting values under Technician, Specimen Status and Date Sampled.

Picked Up Specimen

  •  Specimen are listed individually.  Select an individual specimen to update it's status.

Checked In Specimen

It is recommended to notify Lab when a specimen's status is updated reverted to a previous state (Logged / Picked Up).

Changing Specimen Status

After you've selected an individual specimen from the View Specimens page, you will be brought to the Change Status page.

Only Checked Inspecimen have the Logged AND Picked Up "Change Status To" option.  Uncollectedand Picked Up specimen can only be changed to Logged.

Use the drop down list to update the specimen by selecting the appropriate status.  Then, select Save.

Specimens that have been "Received" by the Lab, will not be available for status update.
