Depending upon which Sample Type is selected in Field related sections will be exposed for data entry. |
Sample Type | Description |
---|
Truck Log | - Used for logging information regarding the delivery of concrete only
- No field tests are performed
- No samples are collected.

Field Test | - Used for logging information regarding the delivery of concrete and various tests performed in the field (e.g., Air Content, Slump, etc.)
- No samples are collected
|
Cast Cylinder | - Used for logging information regarding the delivery of concrete and various tests performed in the field (e.g., Air Content, Slump, etc.)
- Specimens are cast in the field for compressible strength lab testing
|
Beam | - Used for logging information regarding the delivery of concrete and various tests performed in the field (e.g., Air Content, Slump, etc.)
- Specimens are molded in the field for modulus of rupture lab testing
|
Density Test | - Used for logging information regarding the delivery of concrete and various tests performed in the field (e.g., Air Content, Slump, etc.)
- Specimens are cast in the field for lightweight density testing lab testing

After you have selected a project to work with, you will be taken to the main concrete sample screen. Depending upon the Sample Type you select, buttons to various screens will be exposed below.
Field | Description |

Sample Type | - Select the appropriate type that matches the activity you are performing
- This is a required field

Technician | - Select the person who is performing these tasks
- Defaults to logged in user
- This is a required field
|
Date Logged / Cast | - Record the date by typing in a value or selecting from the calendar
- Defaults to current date
- This is a required field
|
Pour Location | - Select corresponding location from the drop-down
- List is controlled by your MetaField Business Administrator
- This is a required field
|
Location Details | - Type in additional location information
- 500 character limit.
- This is a required field
|
Longitude | - Longitude (in degrees) where the activity is happening

After you have completed the main Concrete Sample screen, select Specifications. This is the area you would record the various project specifications for your Concrete Sample.

Specified Strength | - Enter the Specified Strength for the Concrete
- Displays for Sample Type Cast Cylinders, Truck Log and Field Test

Modulus of Rupture | - Enter the specified Modulus of Rupture
- Displays for Sample Type Beam

Min/Max Wet Unit Weight Min/Max Dry Unit Weight | - Enter unit weight specifications
- Displays for Sample Type Density Test

Lower/Upper Specified Air Limit | - Enter specifications related to air content
|
Lower/Upper Specified Slump | - Enter specifications related to slump
|

You have two options when saving: Save and Save As Draft.
Field | Description |

Save | - Saves the sample with a status of Logged.
- Sample will be available in QC.
- Sample can be included on a Daily Report.

Save As Draft | - Saves the sample with a status of Draft
- Sample will NOT be available in QC
- Sample will NOT be available to be included on a Daily Report.
- Can be accessed within the Manage Concrete Samples Field Screen

After you have successfully saved a sample, you will have the option of copying the sample you just entered.

Copy Last Sample | - Opens a new sample record
- Several fields will be copied from the previous sample

Add Related Sample | - Opens a new sample record
- Several fields will be copied from previous sample
- Creates a relationship between the two sample records. This relationship is viewable from QC.
