Purpose

This section of MetaField allows you to record data specific to concrete, grout and mortar samples.  In MetaField these different activities are broken down into the Sample Types listed below.

Info
titleSample Type and Data Entry

Data input screens will vary based on the selected Sample Type. Even though there are two separate buttons on the main Field menu, the general screen flow for concrete, grout and mortar sample records is very similar.

Last Logged Sample

If the project you are working with has already had samples logged to it, you will see the details regarding the last logged sample. This may be helpful in determining the next set number for you to record on your cylinder molds. Samples saved as a Draft status will not display in this section.

Sample Section

After you have selected a project Sample Type (Add Sample button) you will be taken to the main Sample screen.

Image RemovedThe Sample section contains the high level information (project, sample type, date, location, etc.) related to a concrete / grout / mortar sample record. The Sample section is visible after a Sample Type is selected.

Copying and Adding Related Concrete Sample

After you have successfully saved a sample, you will have the option of copying the sample you just entered.

FieldDescription
Add New Concrete Sample
  • Opens a new sample record

  • No fields are copied from the previous sample

Copy Last Sample

  • Several fields will be copied from previous sample
  • Creates a relationship between the two sample records. This relationship is viewable from QC.
Tip
titleExample of when to use Related Sample
