Purpose
Sand Cones used for field soil density testing are managed here.

While bulk density of sand technically is not associated with a sand cone, MetaField currently stores this value at the sand cone level. Sand used for sand cone tests is generally the same for all tests performed by an office. Since sand cones are typically stored at particular offices, MetaField stores the default Bulk Density of Sand value at the sand cone level. |

Calibration Date | Date the sand cone was last - , if the sand cone was calibrated via Method A. (Sand Cones can be calibrated via Method A or B, or A & B. If a sand cone is calibrated for both methods, the technician in Field, will determine which method is used.)

For Method A of Sand Cones, changing the bulk density of sand at the sand cone level, will not alter past test results. |
