Purpose
Sand Cones used for field soil density testing are managed here.

| Name | - Name of the sand cone used for easy identification (i.e. "Blue Team Gauge", "Truck 1001 Gauge", etc.)

| Sand Cone ID | - Identification number of the sand cone

| Method | - The Method used to calibrate the sand cone
|
| Calibration / Test Sand Name | - Name of the sand used for a particular sand cone test (i.e. Sand A123). Records available based on Sand Calibration entries
|
| Method A Bulk Density of Sand (g/cm³ ) | - Bulk density of the sand used, if the sand cone was calibrated via Method A. (Sand Cones can be calibrated via Method A or B, or A & B. If a sand cone is calibrated for both methods, the technician in Field, will determine which method is used.)

| Method B Bulk Density of Sand (g/cm³ ) | - Bulk density of the sand used, if the sand cone was calibrated via Method B. (Sand Cones can be calibrated via Method A or B, or A & B. If a sand cone is calibrated for both methods, the technician in Field, will determine which method is used.)

| Wt. of Funnel & Base Plate Sand (cm³ ) | - Calibrated weight of funnel and base plate sand for a particular sand cone

While bulk density of sand technically is not associated with a sand cone, MetaField currently stores this value at the sand cone level. Sand used for sand cone tests is generally the same for all tests performed by an office. Since sand cones are typically stored at particular offices, MetaField stores the default Bulk Density of Sand value at the sand cone level.- (Value will display as Calibration Volume on Sand Cone report)
