Purpose
When data from concrete cast cylinder specimen is entered in the Lab LIMS component, Lab LIMS users will specify a code representing the type of capping method used. The Capping Method values presented are managed on this screen.

| Use as Default | If set to yes, when the Specified Strength (PSI) value falls into this range, the Capping Method value will auto populate with the Code. |

There cannot be overlap in the minimum and maximum specified values between different capping methods. |
Example of using a the default setting
When entering test data for a cylinder, cylinders that have a value between the minimum and maximum specified strength setting will receive the associated Break Remark.
- So if we have 6000-10000 as the range for the Sulfur capping method, any value in that range will be auto populated with the S capping method.
2. Since the specimen we're testing had a specified strength value of 7000; the capping method will be set as an S automatically. Note: You can still change this value manually on the screen.
