Specifications

  • Specifications may have preexisting values based on Project Specifications - Density.
  • Using the check box, Moisture Specifications may or may not be required.
  • After selecting a Proctor, characteristics of the Proctor will display.  These values come from Lab.
  • NOTE:  You may also view the proctor curve or image by selecting View Proctor Curve or View Proctor Image.  These buttons will not exist if there are not attachments to the proctor.  For instruction on how to attach an image to a proctor, see Soil Proctor Results
  • To see more proctor metadata, select the Show More Data button.

Soil Nuclear Gauge Test

  • MetaField requires that a gauge be standardized each day per ASTM requirements. MetaField enforces this by only allowing gauges standardize that day (calendar day, not rolling 24 hour period) to be used for field density tests.
  • The standardization date must match the test date in order for the gauge to appear as an option to select.
  • See Field - Gauge Standardization for help on standardizing gauges.

If your administrator has configured your gauge to enter the Moisture % value from the gauge, the Moisture % field will be presented to the technician instead of the Water Content (pcf) field.

  • Select the Oven Burn Moisture Determination check box to perform a Moisture Content test.

Field Notes & WBS

  • Fields notes are optional and internal notes only.
  • Fields notes are not reportable.
  • Work Breakdown Structure will be available.
  • Select Finish when complete.

Save Test

  • Once all required fields have been complete, select Save Test.
  • If any required fields have not been complete, MetaField will first highlight the section the missing fields are in.
  • Open a red highlighted section to complete the test.
  • No labels
