Table of Contents

Purpose

If Field Costs are configured in the Work Items section of Administration, they will appear on the Notes / Costs / WBS section of various Field records.

FieldDescription
Cost Type
  • The general categorization of costs
  • Configured in the Administration module
Cost Unit
  • The unit the cost is based on (trips, hours, field tests, samples, etc.)
  • Configured in the Administration module

Unit Cost

  • The cost per unit
  • Can be hidden from Field Technicians if desired (Display Costs in Field Module setting in Admin)
Units
  • The number of units (trips, hours, field tests, samples, etc.)
Total Cost
  • Calculated total cost - Unit Cost * Units
  • Can be hidden from Field Technicians if desired (Display Costs in Field Module setting in Admin)
Notes
  • Situational notes about the field costs

Field Costs not currently available for Activity or Sample Tracking records.

Field Costs can also be related to the retrieval of specimens for Concrete / Grout / Mortar and Sample Tracking samples. Those field costs will be presented on the respective Check In screens.
