Forney Vault

MetaField integrates with Forney break machines by utilizing the Forney Vault database and API's. Customers wishing to leverage the integrations to load break data from Forney break machines directly to MetaField will need to first subscribe to the Forney Vault service.

The Forney Vault API is able to receive specimen data from MetaField and store break data to the specimen record, which MetaField can retrieve through the Forney Vault API.

Forney data can be retrieved in one of two ways. The first is a scheduled tasks that runs every 15 minutes to check for new data in Forney Vault, specimens that are fully populated by the automated task will be advanced to the To Review queue.  The second method is a manual call made to the Forney API that is initiated through the Enter Test Results screen. These methods of data retrieval will only be enabled for customers with a Forney integration configured.

Cylinders

The "Retrieve Forney Data"button has been added to the Cast Cylinders>Enter Test Results screen. When the call to Forney is initiated, MetaField will attempt to retrieve break data from Forney for each specimen that appears on screen. MetaField will populate all data that is present either in the Forney Vault database or through predefined default values in the Administration area.

Only Cast Cylinder specimens are supported by the Forney Integration as of 2.13.
