Purpose

The Dashboard module is used to give Project Managers important oversight on the activity on their projects through a series of informational and work queues.

It is recommended that all QC users have access to the Dashboard.

Using the Dashboard

The Dashboard screen will display a list of queue sections that are listed on the left of the screen. These queues can vary depending on each person's permissions. Selecting the menu control at the top left of the screen will hide the left navigation panel.

After you select a queue section, you will either see subsections with specific queues across the screen or just specific queues across the screen. Subsections will appear grayed out if they do not contain any information. The number displayed to the right of each subqueue represents the count of items that meet the business rules of that queue. Filters exist on the top that allow for the data to be filtered by any combination of Project Manager, Office and Project Number.

Clicking the Project Number link in each row will open the Quality Control module pre-filtered to match the business rules of that queue.

Filter Options Allow Multiple Selection

Like other areas in the system, the filter choices in Dashboard allow you to choose multiple items from the list of Project Managers, Offices or Projects. The system will look for matching records to one of the entered values. when filtering on Office, you can select "Not Assigned" and it will filter based on projects that have not been assigned an owning office in Project Specifications.

If you want to remove one of these selections, click the X next to the items you would like removed.

Saving Filter Options

If you find that you are often filtering based on the same criteria, you can save your filter choices for use later. To save filter options, chose your criteria and select Save Filter. Then provide a name for this filter selection.

Once you have saved your filter options, you can access a saved filter by clicking on the filter dropdown.

My Project Filter

By default, all users will have a filter choice for My Projects. When this option is selected, the user will receive a list of projects where they are the project manager.
