Purpose
Documents can be uploaded that are valuable for field technicians to have access to in the field. Any PDF or image files uploaded on the Documents tab will be accessible by field technicians when using MetaField's Field module. Any file type can viewed from the Project Specifications - Documents grid.
Document Groups
Document groups are used to group similar documents together. Think of them as folders. All documents must be associated with a document group.
Uploading Documents
- Click the Add Documents button above the documents grid
- Click the Upload button to select a file to upload
- Provide a brief description of the file
- Click Save
FireFox Browser
If you are using FireFox there is a known issue preventing the uploading of files. You will need to use a different browser, such as Chrome or Internet Explorer, to perform this function.
Download / View Documents
- Click the Download button (arrow pointing down) button in the document grid to download the file
- Click the Preview button (picture thumbnail) button in the document grid to preview the file (image and PDF files only)
