About

Field workers are often required to submit a report before they leave a jobsite, and/or are required to submit a report of their daily activities to a project manager.
These types of reports are created in Field - Field Reports area.

There is also a Field Reports area in Quality Control.  Reports created in Field-Field Reports can be accessed in Quality Control  Field Reports.
While Field Reports can be e-mailed from Field, a Field Report is not considered Finalized until marked and sent to Delivery as such in Quality Control.

Reviewing Field Reports

To review Field Reports, follow these steps.

StepDescriptionExample
1.
  • Open Field Reports from the main Quality Control menu.

2.
  • Search for your desired project. Once you have found the project, click on View Reports
  • If you were previously working with a project, this project will appear by default. To switch projects, select the Change Project button.

3.
  • Use the filter panel to search for the Field Reports you would like to review.

4.
  • Mark the box next to a single report and select Preview Report.

Emailed Field Reports

  • If the Field user (who created the report) chose to send an email containing the report, an email button will be shown on the right end of the table.
  • If the email fails to be sent from Field, the report will still display in Quality Control, but the email button will not display.  Field users will also be notified of the failing e-mail.  Note that the system is unable to report unsuccessful delivery of an email.  Any delivery failures would be reported in the sender's email account Inbox.
  • Select the email button to view additional information, such as the timestamp, recipients, and message text for the message.

Counter-Signing a Field Report

  • Reports that have already been digitally signed by the Field user can be signed a second time in QC-Field Reports using the Counter-Sign button.
  • If signature graphics are enabled, a countersigned report will display two digital signatures, side-by-side, on the final page of the report.
  • If a report has not been signed by the Field user, countersigning the field report will not work. To sign it for the first time, use the Finalize Report option.

To Counter-Sign a Field Report, follow these steps:

StepDescription
1.Select the checkbox for the report you’d like to countersign.
2.Select Counter-Sign button
3.Enter your Digital Signature Username and Digital Signature Password in the popup.
4.Select Sign.
  • After countersigning, a new report will appear in the Field Reports list.  You will see the originally signed report as one list item, and the report containing both signatures as a separate item.
  • To send either report to Delivery for distribution, you will need to Finalize the report.
