Safety - Search / Results Display

Purpose

In this Admin tab you can configure which Safety Record Fields a user can search by as well as what is returned in their search results. Depending on the Display Area selected, certain Field Types may be prohibited.

Selecting System Names

When adding a "Field" in this area, you actually will be selecting a System Name. A System Name is assigned by the user upon creating a new Field for a Form. System Name can be used once on a Form, but may be repeated on every Form. When you select a System Name for a Search Result Display Area, MetaField will return results for any Safety record with a matching System Name field. However, when you select a System Name for a Filter Display Area, you must also select the Field Type. In this case, MetaField will use this filter to return matching Safety records for this Field Type and System Name combination.

Display Active System Names

By Default, when selecting a new field, the system will present you a list of System Names for Active fields only. To display both Inactive and Active System Name fields, remove the checkbox next to Display only Active System Names.

Changing Field Order

 You can set the order that the fields display for a given area by choosing, Reorder Fields. A popup will appear with all of the selected fields. You can click and drag the individual fields into the desired order.

Display Areas

Filters and Search Results are preconfigured for you. You may always alter this configuration as needed. Below is a list of Display Areas and an explanation as to what part of the system to which they apply.

Field Safety Report Search Filter
  • When creating a Safety Report from the Field, these are the fields that you can use to search for Safety records.

  • Fields added to this display area will appear when choosing Safety records to add to an Safety Report created in Field

Field Manage Safety Search Filter
  • After you select Manage Safety Records in Field, the fields configured here will be available for you to filter your list of Safety records

Field Safety Search Results
  • Once you have filtered your Safety records in Field (Manage Safety Records) these fields will be presented to help you choose the desired Safety record

QC Safety Report Order
  • Control field display when choosing the order of Safety records when generating a report

QC Safety Search Filter
  • In Quality Control > Safety, when searching for Safety records for a specific project these Fields will be available

QC Safety Search Results
  • In Quality Control > Safety, when working with a project, this controls which columns will display

QC Safety Project Search Filter
  • In Quality Control > Safety, when searching for a project, these fields will be available

Utilities Safety Data Extract
  • In Utilities > Safety Data Extra, this controls what Fields will be available for display on the data extract

Utilities Safety Search Filter
  • In Utilities > Safety Data Extract, you can set fields to search for Safety records using this area

  • In Utilities > Safety Data Extract, this controls which columns will display
