LIMS - Compressive Strength Alerts

Purpose

The Compressive Strength Alerts grid can be used to define when users are alerted to potentially low breaks in the LIMS, Dashboard and Quality Control modules.

Defining Alert Levels

To define an alert rule, click the Add Alert button above the data grid.

FieldDescription
Sample Type
  • The Sample Type the alert is for
Specified Test Age
  • The Specified Test Age the alert is for
  • Example - 28 day specified strengths
From Test Age
  • Starting test age range for the alert
To Test Age
  • Ending test age range for the alert
Alert Level
  • % of specified strength that needs to be met
  • 2 decimals of precision allowed
Break Remark < Alert Level
  • Default break remark if the calculated % of specified strength is < the defined alert level
  • Optional
Break Remark >= Alert Level
  • Default break remark if the calculated % of specified strength is >= the defined alert level
  • Optional

You will have multiple records / rows for a given sample type and specified test age to cover a range of test age days. You can get as granular as a 1 day window, if needed. From Test Age and To Test Age windows can't overlap within a given sample type and specified test age.


Where Alerts Appear

Alerts will appear a few different areas within MetaField.

  • Dashboard queue for low breaks (based on your defined rules)
  • LIMS data input screens (compressive strength and percent of specification calculation highlighted in red)
  • LIMS queue grids (compressive strength and percent of specification calculation highlighted in red)
  • Quality Control grids (compressive strength and percent of specification calculation highlighted in red)
