Purpose
For new customers deploying MetaField, this page will help you plan and organize all the information necessary to setup in MetaField. Gathering and entering this data is critical to a new deployment of MetaField. We have grouped these data configuration activities into a logical sequence of services you may want to roll out. Depending on your implementation plan, you may roll out these services together or one by one. Prior to rolling our a particular service (Density Testing, Concrete / Grout / Mortar Field and Lab operations, Activity, etc.) make sure you have completed all of the configuration items related to that group.
The following are tips regarding the use of this page:
- Use the blue links to view additional information in MetaField Help.
- The icon means we have pre-defined settings and/or values for you to use "out of the box".
Please contact your Solutions Consultant with any questions.

|
Project Setup
Section | Action |
---|---|
Project Setup | Values in this area do not need to be populated by organizations who will be utilizing an adapter to read data from their Source System(s). If your organization will not be using an adapter, populate Collaborator Role values in this area, for use within the MetaField Project Setup module. |
Project Administration
Specification Configuration
Project Specifications is an area meant to be used by Project Managers. Users can override some global settings from Administration, when project-specific settings differ.
In addition to overriding global settings, the items below can also be defined in Project Specifications. You will want to revisit this area after each phase of your roll out plan to determine if there are project specs that will be useful within your operations.

Density Testing
Density Configuration
Data in this section will have to be entered if you intend to roll out Density Testing. Typically this is one of the first areas of MetaField that will get implemented operationally since the work flow is straight forward, there is not a lot of front end configuration, and there is a small LIMS component to get Lab personnel used to the software.
